Plughugger.com was started 2009 as a music technology review site by a nice swedish fellow named Carl Lofgren, who have been writing professionally about music and computers since the days of the Atari ST. 2010 we put together our first soundset for the Waldorf Largo software synthesizer - and today Plughugger have grown to include sounds for some of the biggest software instruments on the market and we have helped make factory sounds for companies such as Arturia, Tone2 and for the massive Solaris synthesizer by John Bowen. 2013 we put the reviewing part in the freezer and in early 2015 we brought it out again when we launched the third version of the website and incorporated our sister site Fingerpushers into it.

To put it short. We are insanely passionate about sounds and two of our favourite synths are Spectrasonics Omnisphere and U-he Diva.

After the purchase you will be forwarded to a webpage with your downloads and you will also be emailed a link where you can download your sounds. This link expires after five days (120 hours), so it's a good idea to make a backup copy of the product. If the link doesn't work or you don't receive a link within 30 minutes - please let us know. The whole system for delivery is automatic and although it works fine, we all know what happens every now and then with automatic systems.

We are using an e-commerce solution by E-Junkie complete with a cart system. When you bought a product you will be directed to a download location outside of plughugger.com. This is totally normal.

After a successful purchase you are redirected to a download page containing your sounds. You will also be sent a link to this download page, and you can expect a link for downloading your product within minutes. But as with all automated systems - things can get delayed or even go wrong. Patience is not a virtue of the internet era, but please leave up to 30 minutes before contacting us. If anything goes wrong - there is just one thing you need to keep in mind: don't worry about it. We will sort it out. We are not in the business to rip people off. Have you checked your spam folder? The link might just have sneaked in there.

No. The instructions on this site is clear enough. Don't purchase anything if you don't know what you are doing. If you are in doubt before you make a purchase - you are more than welcome to contact us and we will help you out.

You can freely use these sounds for commercial or private purposes in music, jingles, movies or television, without paying further fees than the original price of the product. The only restriction is that you must not use the sounds in an isolated manner - they must always be used in a musical context. You are for example not allowed to create a sample library based on the sounds you purchase from Plughugger.

You are buying the right to use these sounds - not the sounds themselves. The sounds are under the copyright of Plughugger/Carl Löfgren. No one else has the ownership of the sounds. You are buying a license to use these sounds in any musical way you want. If you create a multi million dollar smash hit built on a Plughugger bass sound - congratulations. The money is all yours. All you need to have is a licence for using the sounds. That's what you buy when you purchase sounds from Plughugger.
Please note that a license is only valid for the user/organisation who purchase the license from Plughugger. This means that even though you might give away or sell these sounds, you are still the holder of the license. Not the new user of the sounds.
