X-Files of Synths Volume 2 is the second release in the ongoing hardware-centric series of soundsets for Xfer Serum 2, each volume exploring a single sound source or manufacturer in depth.

For this chapter, the focus shifts to two popular and characterful instruments from Behringer: the Wasp Deluxe and the Crave. Despite their modest size, both synths carry a strong sonic identity — from biting, unstable textures to raw, clear analog tones.

The Wasp Deluxe and Crave were sampled and looped with an emphasis on their most distinctive waveforms and tonal sweet spots, then pushed into more unpredictable territory, embracing saturation, instability and experimental behaviour while keeping the sonic identity rooted in their analog origin.

The presets in this collection are designed around three clear sound directions: classic analog vintage, modern EDM & pop, and atmospheric ambient. The soundset contains unique drum and percussion sounds from both the Wasp and the Crave, processed further with Serum 2.
