Filled with leads, synthesizers and with a wealth of magnificent atmospheric sounds what more can you wish for with Spectrasonics Omnisphere?

Well, of course, bass.

While there are a number of bass sounds in Omnisphere the focus lies elsewhere. But with the amazing number (no hype) of synthesis techniques, Plughugger set out to explore how far you can take Omnisphere in terms of bass. But your trusted and most valuable patchmaker didn't stop there.

NO SAMPLES USED.

Yes. Although Omnisphere is a goldmine of wonderfully captured waveforms from the rarest and most acclaimed synthesizers, Omnisphere actually has a built-in synth engine that gets very little attention, which is an unfortunate shame. In terms of features and sound, it singlehandedly beats many commercial virtual analog synthesizers on the market.

One of the goals with BASSPHERE 01 was to create a serious bass expansion without any samples and virtually no loading times. Zero. Null. None. Nulla bongo. The patches loads the very instant you click on them. Do we need to say it again? Yes, we do: NO SAMPLES USED.

18 SOUNDS EVOLVES INTO 130 SOUNDS

Here at Plughugger HQ we aren't very good with maths, but at the end of the day it all sums up. At its foundation BASSPHERE 01 contains 18 sounds. But with all variations, arpeggios and sequences counted there are no less than 130 sounds in this collection. And believe is when we say that the sounds are not indentical twins.

The style covers all kinds of electronic genres: 80s pop, electro, techno, house and even acid house.

Buy all three expansions for the price of two: Bassphere Complete.

AUDIO EXAMPLES
There are no treatment on the bass sounds except a limiter with a very modest setting on the master bus. No external effects or eq:ing have been applied to any of the sounds. All drums are sampled loops.
