BASSMASTERS 2010 volume 2 concentrates on what we do best: bass sounds. Here you'll find short basses, deep basses, pitch-bending basses, thumping basses and basses stacked so high you won't have room for anything else.
BASSMASTERS 2010 is a compilation of the best bass sounds we created during the first year of Plughugger. It's the best of the best. First went through all of the hundreds of sounds we've created and selected the ones that made our hair stand on end. Then we boiled it down even further until only 128 bass sounds were left.
BASSMASTERS 2010 is split up into two volumes. Each volume covering different soundsets, with a total of 64 sounds.

ABOUT THE LIBRARY
It has to be underlined that these sounds are not looped, and the reason for this was to save our sanity. If we would have spent the time looping the sounds, the library would have taken about 20 times longer to realize, it would have been ten times more expensive and to be honest - bass sounds are rarely played longer than a few seconds, if even that.
A popular method for sampled bass sounds these days is to sample each and every note for one second, spanning one octave. With BASSMASTERS 2010 we expanded on this concept and let the sampling time be minimum one second, but the usual length is two seconds and when required the sounds are longer than four seconds. All depending on the sound in question. We also expanded the range to almost two octaves (A0 to F2) meaning you'll get accurate nuances on every single key. It's also worth mentioning that the samples are in 16 bits, as it really doesn't make any sense to have them in 24 bits.
AUDIO EXAMPLES
The only treatment on the audio signal is a gentle limiter on the master buss. The sounds have not been processed further. Sometimes we changed the release time of the samples, and in a sounds we set the sounds to play legato-style. But that's about everything. The demo was made with Ableton Live 8 and Kontakt 4.
