J60 Heatwave for Omnisphere 3 is a soundset inspired by one of the defining synthesizers of the 1980s: the Roland Juno-60. Built using both the newly added Juno waveforms in Omnisphere 3 and the classic soundsources already found in Omnisphere, this collection celebrates everything that made the instrument legendary — warm pads brimming with rich chorus, chunky deep basses and instantly recognizable analog character.

Released in 1982, the Juno-60 became one of the most successful synthesizers of its era. Its simple architecture, powerful chorus and immediate hands-on workflow helped shape countless pop, synth-pop and electronic records throughout the decade. Even today, it remains one of the most loved analog synthesizers ever created.

The main collection focuses on the qualities that made the Juno famous. Warm analog pads, lush polysynths, deep basses, bright arpeggios and classic 80s pop sounds sit alongside more cinematic and atmospheric patches designed specifically for modern productions.

But the story doesn’t end there.

Bonus Soundset: FM
Included with J60 Heatwave is a companion collection inspired by the Yamaha TX series — a family of FM synthesizers that represented the exact opposite approach to sound design. While the Juno was warm, immediate and organic, the TX was digital, precise and crystal clear. Together they became two of the defining voices of the decade.

This creates a unique dual collection: one half built around the lush analog character of the Juno, the other exploring the glassy bells, metallic textures, digital pads and crystalline tones that made Yamaha’s FM synthesizers equally influential.
