For popular dance music, there are three synthesizers which are considered essential: the Virus TI, Nexus and Sylenth1. While Sylenth  isn't a nowhere near the complexity of the Virus TI, or offers the trance boutique samples a la Vengeance of Nexus - the Sylenth gives the other two hard run for their money.
The Sylenth1 is a synthesizer that begs to be tweaked and used - which with its clever interface - is very easy to do.

Although armed with four oscillators, two separate filters, and two very inspiring modulator envelopes, it's in its effects where the sounds of Sylenth 1 really comes alive. The distorsion unit has four flavours of nastiness and have a very firm bite, the phaser turns anything into a swirling foam and the delay has that rare hipass filter so delays can be used on bass sounds without mushing up the sound.

Total Bass is a bass explosio... sorry, bass expansion for the Sylenth1. The collection contains 128 bass sounds covering anything from the trendy, the weird, the ugly, the mellow to the Your-Speakers-Will-Get-What-They-Deserve.

AUDIO EXAMPLES
There are no treatment on the bass sounds except a limiter with a very modest setting on the master buss. No effects or eq:ing have been applied to the bass sounds.
